Area URLs and search metadata
Area URLs and named-building discovery
Use clean area paths for ordinary location navigation:
/japan/tokyo/japan/tokyo/chiyoda/japan/tokyo/chiyoda/marunouchi-3-chome
Location-only Explore queries remain accessible without redirects, but their canonical, language alternatives and Open Graph URL point to the corresponding clean area. Inventory page 2 onward retains the rendered, clamped page number. Existing meaningful search, filter and nondefault-sort canonical behavior is preserved.
Unfiltered, default-sorted area pages show Named Buildings above the complete inventory. Eligibility is identical to building sitemaps: a recorded Japanese or English building name. This is a discovery list, not an accuracy certification. Records use canonical-path order, 20 per page, with namedPage=2 onward; page 1 omits that parameter. Neighborhoods expose direct links to every named page. Higher levels use the compact pager.
Named pagination resets inventory pagination. Inventory pagination, search, filters and sorting reset named pagination. If a manually combined URL contains meaningful search/filter/sort or inventory page=2 onward, inventory takes precedence and the named section is suppressed. Named pages self-canonicalize at their rendered page and identify pagination in their titles. Japanese links and language alternatives retain the same page.
The complete inventory remains available, including unnamed buildings. Unnamed building pages retain noindex, follow. Empty named results omit the section; query failure shows an unavailable state with a retry link, never a zero count. Until a successful result establishes the named page, its canonical/title use the base hub; Retry retains the requested page. Defects degrade only the named section and are logged; cancellation still propagates. Legacy summaries fall back to the stored address for the selected 20 rows. Named listing is an internal store/view-model contract; it adds no REST or MCP parameter or response field.
Building metadata
Titles use the recorded locale-preferred name (falling back to the other recorded name), neighborhood/municipality and JMAD. Descriptions introduce identity and location, followed by at most two eligible facts in type, year built, floors, height and gross floor area order. Estimated, computed/inherited and conflict-flagged measurements are excluded. Evidence requires a direct extraction method, a nonblank source URL and a nonblank source record ID. A dataset or query endpoint plus its record ID is traceable provenance, not necessarily a record-specific URL; Overpass endpoints remain excluded from JSON-LD sameAs. PLATEAU type claims are omitted until original usage codes or a reviewed specific mapping are available; numerical PLATEAU measurements retain their ordinary eligibility. Type evidence must identify a single recognized category through direct building records; business-only tags, POI joins and unsupported classifications are excluded.
The same evidence rules constrain corresponding JSON-LD measurement/type claims. Each additional property also passes the display formatter's value rules: negative/sentinel measurements are omitted, zero dimensions/years are omitted, valid counted zeros remain, months are 1–12 and occupancy ratios 0–1. Descriptions omit source inventories and permanent IDs; building records and provenance UI retain them. Naming alone controls indexing eligibility: the winning recorded name is retained regardless of estimated/conflict flags. JavaScript and SQL both reject null, whitespace-only and em-dash names after search normalization. This identity policy is distinct from descriptive-fact eligibility. Names, recorded addresses and schema-checked geometry in JSON-LD are identity/location context, not independently verified measurements. Google may generate a different snippet; these descriptions are editorial inputs.
Titles can be identical for distinct records with the same name and neighborhood; permanent canonical URLs retain identity. Missing Japanese place names omit the description location clause. Duplicate alternate names are omitted.
